Rockville, MD – Scheer Partners Inc., a leading provider of commercial real estate services in the greater Washington metropolitan area, today announces the hiring of Ben Heller as a Commercial Leasing and Sales Broker.
Heller, who grew up in Northern Virginia and has a professional sales background in the Washington region, will work from Scheer Partners’ Rockville headquarters, focusing on landlord and tenant representation for leasing in Montgomery, Prince George’s and Howard counties, as well as Northern Virginia.
“My father was in real estate, and I would talk to landlords and real estate brokers all the time. They told me that it was important to learn how to sell something, then break into the real estate industry,” Heller says.
He developed key relationships while in sales that will prove valuable as he begins his new career with Scheer Partners. Heller served as senior major account executive with Konica Minolta Business Solutions in Arlington and digital sales manager for Commonwealth Digital Office Solutions in Sterling.
Once determining that he wanted to enter commercial real estate, Heller conducted an exhaustive search for the right fit, talking to numerous national and local firms before choosing Scheer Partners.
“It’s very exciting to be here. People are bullish about what’s going on,” says Heller, an Arlington resident who in 2001 graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in marketing from James Madison University.
“I was looking for a regionally focused company that would best support clients in this market,” he continues. “Scheer Partners is the perfect blend of name recognition and the ability to provide personal attention to clients. I look forward to becoming a valuable asset to this organization.”
Last year, Scheer Partners launched a $100 million equity fund to acquire and develop life sciences-based commercial real estate properties. The Greater Washington Life Sciences Fund will pursue $300 million in investments in the Washington-area market.
More recently, Scheer Partners opened a new office in Tysons Corner, its third location in the D.C. region.
