Scheer Partners Represents JDA Software Group in 38,000-Square-Foot Rockville Lease

Rockville, MD – An international supply-chain solutions company has inked a new lease for nearly 40,000 square feet of space at the DANAC Stiles corporate campus in Montgomery County.

Scheer Partners, the leading provider of fully integrated commercial real estate services in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas, announces today that it has negotiated on behalf of JDA Software Group in a 38,000-square-foot lease at 9713 Key West Ave., which is part of a three-building, 282,000-square-foot complex in Rockville.

Robert Scheer, the founder and president of Scheer Partners, and Matt Brady, a company vice president, represented JDA Software Group in the new 10-year lease, which features office and training space.

“We’re extremely pleased to have completed this transaction for JDA Software Group at 9713 Key West Ave., a well-constructed facility that has convenient access to major highways such as Interstate 270 and is also surrounded by numerous amenities like restaurants and retailers,” Scheer says.

Scottsdale, Ariz-based JDA Software Group first occupied space at the DANAC Stiles corporate campus about five years ago, dating back to its acquisition of Rockville-based Manugistics Group, a publicly traded provider of synchronized revenue-management and supply-chain solutions.

When JDA Software Group made this purchase in 2006, the Arizona company picked up the local firm’s lease of the entire 282,000-square-foot complex at 9713, 9715 and 9717 Key West Ave., which had served as Manugistics Group’s headquarters and is owned by Newton, Mass.-based CommonWealth REIT.

Brady says that JDA Software Group scouted sites both domestically and internationally for its space, but the company ultimately decided to stay in a location that it has called home for half of a decade. “We are glad that JDA Software Group is remaining in Montgomery County,” he says.
